peter kruder returns to the gigolo mega-church to present two new tracks from his recent arsenal of techno and house dance-floor bombs. needless to say 2009 has been a good year for gigolo and hell with the high times being shared by peter kruder. beginning back in march when we released peter kruders first 12 inch in 7 years as part of the cd eleven release. followed swiftly by the release of dj hells acclaimed >teufelswerk< album, recorded and produced largely in peter kruders vienna based studio. so as we approach the end of 2009 it gives us great pleasure to announce the latest ep >hard to find<.
on the a-side you find the title track, which takes in influences from detroit techno circa the age of ur to north african hooks. the filter sweep towards the end, which serves as the drop/break, is a master-class in restrained modulation that is bound to ignite any dance floor. on the b-side we find >25 west 38th st.< a slightly more reserved affair opening with the sound of the ocean air, then swiftly diving into a bass driven groove, which features lush strings and a piano-led top line creating a track that is as atmospheric as it is rhythmic. the ep itself takes influence from the b-side on two levels, the most immediate being the title of the track, which is the address of the old nu groove records offices. this is peter kruders homage to a time when dance music served as a momentary escape, an opportunity to make those around happy. it also brings peters relationship with gigolo records full circle, having begun in 2004 with his >nu groove< remix of hells >listen to the hiss<.

the beginning of year three in the adjunct chronicles is marked by a 12inch by our own apendics.shuffle. kenneth james gibson has been bombarding the techno scene consistently for the past few years. u_derline, orac, friends of tomorrow, mos ferry, sunset diskos among other labels have served as the carrier for kens deadly weapons. remix duties are taken on by the one and only mathias schaffhäuser , a renowned techno superstar and the founder of ware records. there couldnt have been a better title than >no reduction< to literary describe this monster of a track - ken has unleashed the entire arsenal of his studio for the creation. stern synth patterns pizzicato their way through the track, deep sea signals ring in the background, distorted vocal snippets insist on taking >all the money<. energetic and magnetic dancefloor number dedicated to the real freaks. mathias approaches the rework with smooth drumming and a velvet bassline. the cheeky cabaret vibe however never settles: the diabolical pizzicato of the original returns and the voices continue their demands for (what all adds up to in the end) >no reduction<. oblivious filth brings yet another layer to this joint. beautifully crafted sounds mingle with electro-mechanical noises, layers of melting textures lure the listener into a late night wonderland

suction records is thrilled to present the debut archival album release by rx-101, a bedroom techno producer from the netherlands, erik jong. -like yesterdays- compiles 10 tracks from rx-101 s first two vinyl-only 12- eps, together with three cd/digital album exclusives. this previously unreleased material dates from 1997-1999, recorded live to cassette in a feverish burst of creativity, utilizing a small arsenal of classic techno instruments. here s rx-101 in his own words: -from childhood i loved dance music. in the 80s one of my older brothers always recorded mixes from the radio and we always listened to that. my other brother and sister took music lessons in electronic organ and when i was about 9 years old i did the same. i quit when i was 14. from childhood i was fascinated by synthesizers. in the late 80s i started more and more listening to dance and house music and it was 1991 when i started listening to techno from labels like underground resistance, transmat, metroplex, +8 records and warp

please allow us the pleasure of introducing axel willner s loops of your heart. hailing from sweden, the man behind this record alone needs no introduction, as he is already well known in the electronic music scene for his project the field. loops of your heart reflects axel¼s experience in germany, where during his lengthy stays, his mantra-like arpeggiators contributed to the first manifestation of the sound of cologne tape, a group that formed while he was staying there. you can also hear this on the much sought after debut render, which came out on magazine last year. only a foreshadow for what was to about to come, willner has been living in berlin and letting his creativity go crazy. with an arsenal of special synthesizers and guitars he has put together and never ending nights . after touring worldwide with the field for the last 10 years, and never ending nights is like coming home again. you can hear german children speaking outside his studio in berlin (on the track neukšlln ) and it is not only the track titles which tell of things that have come to an end and or are about to happen. the old german musical tradition of letting yourself go (holger czukay, you, anima, cluster, you name it) is in the air, and willner breathes it. his highly personal approach to music and composition leads to nothing less then a matchless album that embodies beginning anew

he is one of the hardcore scenes biggest icons for almost twenty years. after five albums, neophyte returned to his favorite chamber to produce his first album in more than five years. a unique album: for the first time in hardcore history, an album will be released in two different parts. on monday january 16th, neophyte will present the first chapter of rechtoe rechtaan s successor: mainiak . jeroen streundings formation dropped its first ep in 1993 on rotterdam records: they released tons of tracks on the legendary label. next to these activities, neophyte came up with several aliases like bodylotion, hard creation and masters of ceremony to produce on terror traxx and forze records. in 1999 neophyte founded his own label neophyte records, which is considered to be one of the leading labels in hardcore for more than twelve years. neophyte developed himself as one of the best producers of the hardcore scene and helped new artists like evil activities and tha playah to get to the top of the hardcore olympus as well. mainiak proves why neophyte is hailed as a true leader of the hardcore scene. the first chapter of the album is packed with an arsenal of brand new material: besides a lot of solo tracks, neophyte has also collaborated with a selection of other artists such as neophyte records colleagues tha playah & the viper. mainiak s tracks have been edited for the album to keep it flowing in the best way for the listeners pleasure. the dj s and his diehard fans won t have to mourn: the album s tracks will also be available for download in full length.

pingipung presents >the kenya sessions< - an enchanting cooperative mission featuring sven kacirek, our experimental drummer and electronic producer, and musicians from kenya. the kenya sessions is the result of svens extended visit to the country with live and fieldrec sessions which he later processed in his studio in hamburg. sven kacirek plays with local kenyan stars such as 80 year-old female vocalist ogoya nengo, or with joseph oganga, who delivers amazing patterns with his >nyatiti<, a traditional string instrument. its sometimes difficult to tell the parts recorded in kenya from those overdubbed by sven kacirek himself. his own compilation of marimba, bassdrums and brush patterns forms a musical thread that he weaves skillfully into the live sessions. at times joyfully straight (arsenal aluny vilage) at times mellow and melancholy (mariae, paperflowers). sven kacirek and some of the kenyan musicians will bring this fantastic material on international stages in early 2011. the linernotes by goetz steeger illustrate the detailed recording process of this record. >the kenya sessions< is pingipungs second album by sven kacirek who has a background as virtuoso jazz drummer. he studied at drummers collective in new york, played several solo-shows at the world drum festival and has written books on the experimental use of electronics on the drumset. on his solo debut >the palmin sessions< in 2007 he presented his original ambient aesthetics made from silent patterns recorded on paper, wood, or glass surfaces: >svens frantic drumming is really a pure pleasure to listen to ... his instruments join together in a deeply meditative study< (foxy digitalis)
